The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary, or Semiquincentennial, of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking the formal founding of the United States of America! In honor of the 250th, over the course of 2026 we will be hosting a series of events and installations with a theme of CENTENNIALS.

Saint Albans Museum is partnering with Downtown Saint Albans, Vanish Works Experience Design, Vermont Humanities, and a cohort of independent artists and exhibit designers to realize our local focus for the 250th called Centennials: The Gilded Age & The Disco Era in Vermont’s Rail City.

Come downtown for an evening stroll and get a sneak peak at some of the material from the 250th Centennials show! We will project large scale imagery from the centennials years in Saint Albans on the front of the museum and City Hall. You may recognize some of the faces & place featured from 1876 and 1976.
